Data Scientist

Description
Reporting to the Chief Data Scientist, the Data Scientist will be responsible for developing and maintaining analytics tools in SQL server and Power BI. By leveraging Mitigram’s unique trade finance database, the Data Scientist will continuously delivery insights to some of the worlds leading financial institutions, corporations, and internal teams. The role is also an opportunity to influence and contribute to Mitigram’s advanced analytics roadmap by prototyping machine learning and data driven products.
 
Responsibilities
Working with senior management, product owners and customer managers to enable data drive decision making
Develop data lake and data warehouse infrastructure together with data engineers
Creating and maintaining dashboards for customers and internal teams
Ad hoc analysis for key customers and business cases

 
Required skills and experience
Master's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or a related technical field
Experience in using data visualization products and technologies (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, and QlikView)
Proficiency with relational databases such as SQL Server, Postgres, and MySQL
Experience in using statistical and scripting languages such as Python, R, SAS, or MATLAB



Nice to have
Statistical modelling, regression analysis and knowledge of common machine learning frameworks e.g. Pandas, Numpy, Scipy, Scikit-learn, Torch, Tensorflow, Keras or equivalent
Interest in natural language processing (NLP) and ability to write regular expressions (regex)
