Sales & Operations planning is a key business function and successful implementation will result in improvements to customer service, business forecasting and planning, working capital optimization and inventory management as well as improving the quality of the decisions taken throughout the business.  To ensure success we are now strengthening the organization with a Demand Planner

The Demand Planner will work on the Munters S&OP processes for all Air Treatments key products and customer groups, and main focus on demand planning process, analyzing previous demand behavior (statistical forecast, seasonality etc.) and integrating inputs from Sales, Marketing, Finance and Regional S&OP Teams, to create a monthly Sales Demand forecast.

Through a thorough understanding of customer service objectives, he/she owns the forecasting process for our business area Air Treatment and Business Units inventory process for certain product groups when applicable, and will be responsible for developing and executing demand plan & inventory plan to ensure consistent customer service levels while maintaining healthy level of KPI selected.

This position will work very closely with key stakeholders on supply chain, especially Sales, Marketing, Customer service, Product management, as well as Operations supply planning teams in various Business Units.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Implement 12 month rolling and monthly S&OP forecasting processes to ensure base case and upside demand forecasts are comprehensive, accurate and representative of the most appropriate demand plan in achieving Munters AirT business goals
Develop monthly demand forecast in cooperation with the sales, marketing and PM teams. Review historical demand trends, use various statistical forecast models to re-generate forecast.
Work intensively with sales and marketing teams to understand demand drivers, coordinate cross-functional meetings/dialogues to reconcile demand variances, and make forecast adjustments based on a thorough understanding of changes in sales/inventory target and market trends.
Preparation of relevant reports related to the demand planning process.
Identification of opportunities to improve our service level to customers in terms of logistics and/or supply chain flows, including freight management.
Preparation and execution of the monthly sales demand review meetings at BU level, and participant Operations supply review monthly meetings.
Interface to cross function with Operations supply planning according to demand, and other material and logistics planning team etc.
Monitor the quality of the process, performance measures and principle improvements and identifying and sharing best practices.
Able to travel frequently when needed.

Experience, Education and Skills


Graduated, with Engineering/ Logistics/ Economics, or related background: an IT orientation is a plus.
Strong practical experience in forecasting, master planning, logistics management will be required. Direct working experience in ERP systems, like SAP etc. environment will be a distinct advantage.
Experience in extracting and analyzing data using information system reporting tools such as SAP BI, SQL, MS Access and MS Excel etc. This is a highly data intensive role and requires knowledge of statistics. The candidate must be comfortable in working with large amount of data for planning and reporting purposes.
Strong and independent trouble-shooting skills to investigate and identify causal. Attitude for PDCA, continuous improvement.
APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) desirable
Proficiency in English is a must
