Who we are 
The Electrical Transmission Design group within the department is responsible for design and development of gearbox internal parts for Electric and Hybrid vehicles. We are in the middle of one of the most interesting and fast growing areas and working towards new technology of electrical vehicles.

We are looking for a creative, curious and people oriented Design Engineer who loves the technical challenges of component and integration work of differentials, drive shafts and all related development tasks.

We are a scrum team of 6 engineers with diverge backgrounds. We have a great team feeling, dedicated to secure delivery of a product which we can be proud of, Volvo can deliver with excellent quality. During our work we make sure everyone are included and are having fun every day. 
Our vision is to be the experts within transmission system design.

What you will do. 
Some of your main responsibilities, besides the scope of work mentioned above, will be to:
•    System design and integration work in CATIA 
•    CATIA CAE work 
•    Method development for above work areas
•    Act as a mentor and go to person for above areas
•    Initiate suggestions for Master Thesis 
•    Advanced studies and innovation

You and your skills
We believe You have a Degree in Mechanical engineering or equivalent with some years of relevant experience.
You have a genuine interest in innovation and design, if you possess knowledge specifically in transmissions that would be an advantage.
You have a high knowledge of CAE methods and tools for analysis used in development work
You have demonstrated capability and willingness to teach and document technical knowledge.
You have demonstrated high level of communication skills and teamwork
