We are now looking for a Design Engineer within R&D, who will join our team of 17 people working with product management, product development and application development at Sandvik Coromant in Halmstad. Key performance areas
As a Design Engineer your main responsibilities include:
? Being responsible for design analysis in development projects and taking part in creating design specifications
? Making necessary design calculations and evaluations
? Developing design templates/instructions as models, drawings, rules, calculations or parameters
? Being the main contact with production units regarding specification on products

Our products are created in teams with participants from product management, marketing, production and development. The team is responsible for the whole chain, from idea to launched product, and is a vital part in ensuring our customers' future success. We place great importance on professional development and devote considerable resources to the competence development of our personnel.

The position involves some traveling.

Your profile
We are looking for someone with a degree in Engineering and, preferably, a few years of relevant work experience. CAD, solid modeling and drawing management are important fields of experience. Knowledge of databases, programming, metal cutting, product design and product development is an advantage. As the work involves frequent international contacts, communication skills in English are a prerequisite.

You are committed and have a structured and systematic way of working. You have strong quality consciousness and the ambition to deliver results and to share your knowledge. Further, to be successful in this role you must be open to change and enthusiastic about being involved in and influencing the department's development. It is also very important that you are flexible and have the ability to take the initiative.
