Design Project Manager

Molamolo Nordic AB runs a online design-magazine since 2011 and has become an emerging name in the Chinese market who introduces Scandinavia design. We also help Swedish designers/design companies find their client in the Chinese market or the Chinese companies find their partners in Scandinavia. We bridge the businesses as well as coordinate the communications. We are now looking to recruit a project manager for our ongoing/upcoming design projects.

The task
As Project Manager, your goal is to ensure and optimize the cooperative process between the Swedish designer/company and the Chinese client. You will coordinate, negotiate, plan and manage the budget, the project schedules and meeting deadlines, communicate with both parties, write/translate documents etc. You will also travel to China in some cases for meeting, presentation, purchasing, and client contact. Other task like publishing e.g. a brochure to introducing Swedish designers, design exhibition report, strategic resource development, products purchasing, etc. will be listed in your daily routine.

Your profile
You have a degree or equivalent training in design, marketing/sales or leading projects. You have at least 3-5 years' experience in design (architecture, interior design, interior products) or similar projects. You have also extensive experience in client contacting, understanding well the resource or client's business value. Fluency in both English and Chinese, both in writing and in speaking, is a prerequisite for this role.

As a person you are open and driven, can organize self and work effectively, can take responsibility and use initiative to deliver high quality work. You are not afraid of tuff task or customers, can plan and structure your work in a complex environment. It is an advantage if you previously have worked in an architecture/interior-design company with focus on environmental issues.
