Job description
Currently we have an opportunity for a Design/Product Engineer working within our Mainline & Metros Division.
A Product Engineer has design responsibility for specific components or parts like driver's desk, interior lighting, seats, side wall paneling, luggage racks etc. The Product Engineer will have internal and external interfaces and will be the direct technical contact with the supplier.
The key responsibilities of the role holder will include: concept development of the product, requirement specifications, sub-supplier tender technical approval, detail design supervision, product verification approval and finally it is anticipated that the role holder will input into the external technical input for integration purpose (interfaces, weight etc).
Qualifications
Educated to degree level or equivalent are essential; subject matter in mechanical engineering is highly desirable.
Fluent Swedish and English language skills are necessary.
Desirable skill sets include knowledge or education in product development, knowledge of Interior architecture, interior modules and ergonomic design.
