Do you want to find and develop Tetra Pak´s future foil solutions?

Tetra Pak Packaging Material Solutions is responsible for creating, developing, managing and evaluating packaging material. To further drive innovation within this area, we have created a new organization that focuses on the innovation of new Base Materials; polymers, board, inks and aluminium foil. The mission is to deliver solutions to innovation projects by building the right competencies and knowledge, scouting new base materials and finding cooperation opportunities with suppliers, partners, institutes and universities.

As Development Engineer your task will be to understand Tetra Pak future needs in the aluminium foil area. You will scout for opportunities together with suppliers and work with them on development of new solutions. The role is new, which gives you the opportunity to create and influence, working with strategic development.

You will be based in Lund and report to the Manager Innovation Base Material.

Main responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, validate and document innovative foil solutions.
- Scout for new opportunities within the area.
- Collaborate with suppliers.
- Deliver long term development activities as well as knowledge building.
- Provide input to the project pipeline and participate in development projects.


Qualifications

Your strong personal drive to find technical opportunities and to drive innovation will be key in this position. Building relations and trust comes easy to you - you enjoy collaboration and knowledge sharing. You have a profound technical interest, and the ability to engage, explaining technical solutions to people on different levels and with different backgrounds.

You have solid knowledge in either aluminium foil and metal, or in polymers and packaging material, and experience from development engineering. You have a strong interest in early and strategic development and will contribute with your innovative mind. Your educational background is a University degree or PhD. Should you have experience from working with suppliers and partners it is seen as an advantage. You are a clear communicator and fluent in English, written as well as spoken.
