Scania is undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

Join our team within Charging Components, a highly motivated and solution-driven group within Electric Powertrain Technology at Scania R&D. We are a group of men and women who have the exciting task to develop charging solutions for our electric fleet of vehicles, e g plug-in charging or pantograph charging systems. These solutions are highly dependent on road based charging infrastructure as well as customized overnight charging facilities. Our main responsibility is to make the vehicle-to-grid connection technically feasible. To achieve this we need to expand the group with a component owner.

 

Work tasks
As a development engineer you will be responsible for developing charging components with the overall goal to ensure that the best possible technical solution is developed. Typical work tasks include specifying component requirements, coordinating tests and suppliers, collaborating with our partners and having the overall responsibility for the component and its functionality. Keeping up to date with advancements within charging and the EV area is a natural part of your work.

 

Your profile
You have a M Sc in power electronics or similar with a solid interest in EV technology. Previous experience as development engineer within electronics design or mechatronics is an advantage. You are a solutions oriented person with a structured and organized way of performing your activities. You are an innovative person and also enjoy social networking. The nature of our field requires us to constantly look out for future needs for our customers and quickly adapt to technical changes.
