AXEL is looking for an innovative and creative Development Engineer, to be part of the Technical Department and work together with other Development Engineers in Nol and across the entire AXEL Group.

AXEL is working in the front line, constantly evolving to meet customer demands. You will be both responsible for and take part in different lubricating grease development projects, which can be the formulation of new greases, improvements of already existing products and/or production processes or the development of testing methods. Development projects are carried out in close cooperation with other parts of the group, such as Sales and Purchasing that will make you an integral player within the whole organisation. The position will include some travel, since the AXEL Group is spread over five sites in four different countries.

Management of all development projects is the responsibility of the R&D Manager, who is located at company headquarters in Nol, Sweden. Nol is situated 25 km north of Gothenburg. With public transportation it takes approximately 20 minutes from the city centre of Gothenburg.

Qualifications and experience:
Besides a technical mind-set and a genuine interest in product development, you are a service minded person and enjoy teamwork. You should hold a BSc or MSc degree in chemical engineering, chemistry, or equivalent. You probably have at least 2-3 years of experience in R&D and a clear understanding of commercial needs and priorities. Fluency in English is required and in French is a merit.
