Carton Bottle Platform is responsible for developing and engineering a product portfolio that offers a competitive alternative to plastic bottles in the Liquid Dairy Product and Juice, Nectar & Still Drinks categories for both chilled and ambient distribution, including the packaging systems Tetra Evero Aseptic®, Tetra Rex® and Tetra Top®.
Packaging & Distribution Solutions within Carton Bottle develops and industrializes attractive and high performing packages and distribution solutions produced at a competitive cost, and works on improving existing systems to increase package performance and/or decrease cost.

As Development Engineer Polymer Materials you will be a part of the technical development and product maintenance of polymeric materials for Openings and Screw caps. That also involves responsibility for verification and validation of material and driving of machine material interaction validation (MMI). The position is based in Lund, Sweden and requires travelling of up to 20 %.

Main responsibilities
- Develop and drive issues regarding polymer specifications in product and technology development projects and sustaining engineering activities
- Verification/validation of opening/cap solutions in sustaining engineering and product and/or technology development activities
- Explore new boundaries in plastic material when developing new and/or improved openings/caps
- Build and share a general level of knowledge in Injection moulding system function/process for openings and caps
- Build and share a high level of knowledge in plastic materials and their characteristics in the injection moulding
- Create and maintain the polymer customer specifications, including Food Contact Certificate

Qualifications

To be successful you need to have the combination of an innovative, analytical and practical mind together with an open and positive attitude. You are a driver and a good team player who can manage long-term relations in a changing environment.

You have a genuine interest in staying on top of new innovations and technology development in the polymer area and enjoy sharing your knowledge with others. The ability to listen is as important as being able to present your findings and we believe you have a high level of integrity.

You have a university degree in Engineering and at least 2 years of work experience from injection moulding applications with polymer focus. In addition to that you have technical know-how in manufacturing processes for polymer materials, food contact requirements for packaging materials and deep knowledge in polymers and injection moulding processes. Fluency in Swedish and English, both written and spoken, is mandatory.
