The Propulsion System unit at CEVT is responsible for the development of transmissions and electric propulsion systems and the controls associated with these systems. The Propulsion Control Module Team is responsible for the development of the control systems for new global transmissions and hybrid systems from the early concept phase to industrialization. These transmissions and hybrid systems will be the main technology for the Geely group. Software development is carried out in-house and together with external contractors and we use agile development methods.

Diagnostic System Engineer 

Role Summary 

As Diagnostic System Engineer – Propulsion Control you are responsible for working closely with the Propulsion Control Software Development group as well as with System Engineering, to develop diagnostic parts for the propulsion control and hybrid systems. 

Responsibilities and tasks

- Take responsibility for the diagnostic parts of the control system, simulation and models of components
- Evaluate and review supplier documentation such as specifications, test specifications, test reports etc.
- Write system specifications and support in writing component specifications
- Convey the consequences and implications of the diagnostics systems to stake holders of the team
- Answer questions regarding standards and requirements related to diagnostics
- Analyze and provide feedback on verification test procedures
- Contribute to the development and execution of automated system tests

 Required Skills and Experience

- Bachelor or Master Degree in engineering or equivalent experience
- More than 5 years of experience as a system engineer
- Deep and solid knowledge of diagnostics
- Experience from implementation of models and running simulations of system components
- Experience of troubleshooting and testing, e.g. system testing diagnostics or similar
- Experience of Matlab and Simulink
- Good oral and written communication skills in English
- Ability to manage time and meet deliverable is critical
- Driven problem solver who takes initiatives and responds to changing priorities
- Ability to work independently
- High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively in a geographically dispersed team
- Ability to travel
- Driver’s licence B
