The department Electric Propulsion System Engineering is responsible for development of all major parts of hybrid and electric vehicle systems at Volvo Cars. Sub-systems as Electric Drives, HV Batteries, Power supplies, Chargers etc. are some of our responsibilities.

The group charging system is responsible for delivering system solution and SW functionality for the on-board charger (OBC) system in our electrified vehicles. Our vision is to deliver the best functionality in the market and continuously evolve our development platform. We are working with continuous integration as development praxis and we are striving towards continuous deployment of SW. As Diagnostics and Quality engineer you would take an active part in how our suppliers design the diagnostics. You would do follow-ups on existing designs in production to further develop diagnostics services.

Main responsibilities
.Requirement engineering from incoming requirements to implementation at the supplier
.Develop fault tracing methods for efficient trouble shooting in workshops.
.Participate in test activities and follow up on supplier verification.
.Lead Technical Design reviews, internal and supplier joint reviews.
.Effort estimation.
.Report status and progress to the System Project Leader (SPL) and to the group manager.
.Occasional travelling to suppliers.

Required qualifications
.University degree within engineering, M.Sc., or equivalent by work life experience.
.Experience of working with system design/system solution
.AUTOSAR knowledge, familiar with diagnostic event and communication manger
.Knowledge about OBD-2 regulation & requirement
.Good English skills, verbally and in writing.
.Driving license B

Meritorious
.Experience in the automotive industry
.Knowledge about ISO 26262 (function safety)
.Knowledge about ISO 14229
.Knowledge of V model, or any other Software development Life cycle (SDLC) model
