Cobham Gaisler (subsidiary of Cobham plc.) is based in Gothenburg, Sweden, and has since the start in 2001 grown to include 20 employees. The main product of the company is the LEON SPARC processor and the GRLIB IP-library used for System-on-Chip (SoC) solutions. In addition, support services, in-house development tools and software targeting the LEON processor are sold. Our customers are found across the globe mainly within aerospace and defense but also on the commercial side. Beskrivning av arbetsuppgifter:
As a hardware engineer at Cobham Gaisler you will participate in or be responsible for parts or the complete development process of system-on-chip designs based on our IP cores. The development is mainly performed using VHDL. As part of our hardware team, you will also be involved in the development of our IP library that supports all major EDA tools and will work with programmable logic devices from Microsemi, Xilinx and Altera as well as front-end ASIC design and verification. Our hardware portfolio consists of everything from bus infrastructure, system peripherals, and communication controllers up to microprocessors. Occasionally you will take an active role in trouble shooting our solutions integrated into the customer's products, which can be challenging but at the same time very rewarding. Cobham Gaisler is a customer-oriented company with fast response market demands. You will also take part in international development projects where short travels may be required.

Beskrivning av kvalifikationer:
Engineering education; 2-5 years of experience preferred, previous experience with VHDL and ASIC development. We are looking for candidates with a Master's degree or higher with at least two years of experience. We require expertise within VHDL, experience with Verilog and C-programming. Good written and verbal communication skills in English and preferably also in Swedish, together with a strong general interest in new technologies and an analytical mindset. You should have experience in some of the following areas: -Experience with ASIC design using Synopsys and Cadence synthesis tools, DFT and PG. -Experience with FPGA tools from Altera, Microsemi and Xilinx. -Experience with communication interfaces such as Ethernet, RapidIO, PCI, PCIe, SpaceWire, MIL-STD-1553B. -Interest in computer architecture, microprocessor design. -Experience in the role of a verification engineer. - Be proficient in using a Linux workstation environment.
