This crucial role sits within the Global Fleet & Remarketing department and has very close collaborative duties with many other areas of the business. The department is working with NSCs to maximise sales to and via leasing companies, through a systematic and strategic approach, and developing the structure and competence required to effectively manage and influence independent Residual Value forecast positioning. The department also develops the structure & competence required to effectively work with full service leasing companies and Major Daily Rental companies to develop market leading strategies. Also, encompassing all elements of the 'cycle' from Sale to re-sale, ensuring efficiencies in all areas.

As Director - Fleet Channel Partners some of your main objectives are to maximise Volvo's share of opportunity with leasing companies, and optimise the whole life cost of Volvo with both current products and a revised model lineup in the coming 5 years. Additionally to maximise the Residual Value positioning of the Volvo product both at launch and through lifecycle, ensuring all NSCs in turn have a supportive structure linked to a robust Major Daily Rental strategy.

Main responsibilities

* Maximise sales to and via leasing companies through a systematic and strategic approach
* Develop the structure and competence required to effectively manage Residual Value positioning & the full service leasing industry Total Cost Ownership position
* Ensure a robust Major Daily Rental strategy is in place, encompassing all elements of the 'cycle' from Sale to re-sale ensuring efficiencies in all areas. (In conjunction with the Used car team)
* Raise the profile and importance of Total Cost Ownership in all Sales, Marketing & Aftersales programs Globally

Required qualifications

* Minimum of 5 year experience working within OEM Fleet Sales and/or leasing industry (ideally both), or trade guides with Major Daily Rental experience
* Deep understanding of Residual Value dynamics and influencing processes
* Strong verbal & written communication skills with strong analytical skills
* High business understanding and cross functional working style supported by a strategic mindset
* Operational experience within an National Sales Company
* Detailed knowledge of business and asset funding, used car dynamics, complex valuation, forecasting methodology is highly meritorious

Personal qualities

* A true team player who is able to work under pressure with changing priorities
* Self-motivated with a strong drive for results and able to work independently in challenging situations
* Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills. This is very important working globally with geographical and cultural distances
* Should have the skills to intellectually and respectfully challenge team colleagues to maximize results
