Getinge Group is in an exciting and intensive period of change and we are now looking for a Director Global Freight to join our Logistics Organization. The position offers you a unique opportunity to participate in, and contribute to, the development and future success of the Logistics Organization. You will have a great amount of own responsibility and you will interface with a wide variety of stakeholders inside and outside the organization in a global fast-paced leading medical technology company with high ambitions!
As our Director for Global Freight you will be responsible for annual freight spend for Getinge group of SEK 800 M. Our Supply Chain and Logistics organization is in an exciting change journey and you will actively be driving a global project related to our Global Freight that is to be rolled out next year.
Among your main responsibilities and tasks will be:
• Accountable for the relationship with our selected 4 PL provider
• Responsible for global implementation of outsourced control tower for freight
• Process owner for freight and insurance related issues within Getinge logistics
• Accountable for implementation of global insurance claims solution
• Responsible together with Getinge Group finance to find and operate an optimal insurance provider
• Chairman of the Getinge Group Transportation council
• Establish and maintain a well-functioning collaboration with senior management in the 3 sales regions
The position is preferably based in Malmö, Sweden but for the right candidate we can also consider being based at our sites in Poznan or Eersel. You will be reporting to the Chief Logistics Officer. You will have a great deal of interaction with other functions globally and should therefore expect to travel, approximately 30-40 % on an annual basis.
The ideal candidate
As ideal for these positions you have the following key characteristics:
• Minimum 10 years of working experience within logistics at a strategic as wells as operational level
• Experience from an international manufacturing industry of equal volumes or complexity
• Academic degree within Logistics, Business Administration or similar
• Competence within Change Management
• Excellent leadership and influencing skills
• Fluent proficiency in English is required

You have an ability to communicate efficiently with, and to influence, different stakeholders, internally as well as externally. Being able to create sustainable relationships, to challenge and convince in a productive way, is important in order to succeed in the role. Further, you have a strategic and analytical mind-set as well as a high level of business acumen. An ability to handle challenges in a changing environment, where you have the possibility to make a difference, and to lead changes in a matrix organization, are also key factors for this position.
