Sheraton Stockholm Hotel is with its 465 guest rooms and suites, one restaurant, a bar and banquet/conference facilities for up to 700 guests, one of Stockholm's largest international first class hotels. The hotel is now looking for a Director of Sales. Scope of the position : Initiate, plan, direct and manage the implementation of the Hotel's sales strategy. Direct the activities of the Sales team, including the Group &Events dep. ensuring that the activities of all team members are aligned with Hotel strategy. Duties and Responsabilities : Develop the sales strategy for the Sheraton Stockholm Hotel , plan and manage its implementation, liaising closely with key stakeholders (General Manager and Revenue Manager) and be responsible for communication of this strategy to the sales / group and events teams. Working closely with the Revenue Manager, continuously monitor competitive activity and implement any agreed changes to the Hotel's sales and marketing strategy. Liaise with General Manager to deliver specific hotel marketing projects such as , production of sales collateral and advertising campaigns. Ensure full compliance with all Starwood Marketing programs. Manage the Sales team to ensure the efficient day to day operation of the Sheraton Stockholm and that all revenue and profitability targets are achieved in line with the European core standards. Set annual revenue targets, in line with Sheraton Stockholm Hotel budget, for all direct sales people, ensuring that they are clear on their revenue target and have a planned strategy to achieve their goals. Proactively manage a pre-determined number of key accounts/key prospects and other active accounts to ensure maximum yield in line with budgetary objectives. Proactively prospect new accounts for Sheraton Stockholm and Starwood properties worldwide and following the sales process through to convert into 'producing' accounts. Plan and attend any trade fairs as a representative of Starwood Hotels, ensuring that the quality image of the organisation is portrayed, and that every opportunity is taken to promote the Sheraton Stockholm. Qualifications SKILLS : Excellent oral communication skills At least 5 years of experience in hotel Sales Function Social skills Leadership skills Excellent ability to analyse quality and quantity data Excellent knowledge of Swedish and English Excellent IT knowledge Education : Bachelor's Degree required, major in business management, hospitality or sales.
