Group Function Technology’s role is to ensure we can stay a market leader through Technology Leadership also in the evolution of 5G and beyond. The unit shall sharpen Ericsson's competitiveness in Technology Leadership through World-leading Research, Lead-customer engagements and Eco-system partnerships to ensure a strong industry position for Ericsson and our technology.
GFTL Development & Execution drive company-wide strategy execution, create & drive improvements in ways of working towards Technology and Operational Leadership and one important mission is to develop, manage and improve capabilities, processes, information and data within the group-wide functional areas Product Management and Product Development.

To provide efficiency, effectiveness and quality in how we work we aim to digitalize and bring automation support to product management and product development, and we do this in cooperation with the Business Areas and other Group Function Technology units using input from industry and academia practices.
To deliver on above, we drive change programs and provide global expertise for development of Software, Hardware, Information, Commercial products and Solutions.
We are now looking for a someone with a passion for product development but also for change. Driving collaboration is key to pave the way for One Ericsson and at the same time take advantage of the innovation power of the organization. We believe you have long experience from how product development is performed but always been the one to promote new ways of doing things and curious on how to improve. Combined with excellent communication and organization skills, you thrive when interacting with people cross organizational and hierarchical structures.
This role requires adequate seniority but also willingness to do the more hands-on work as well.
This role will report to the Head of Operations & Transformation unit but will work across Development & Execution with the respective ongoing change programs and activities.
The role is preferably placed in Kista but geographical placement elsewhere in CET-near time-zone can be discussed.

Responsibilities and deliverables
Establish and drive DEVELOP communities and enable networking across BA’s
Drive and coach community-driven awareness and knowledge sharing
Create communication plan and drive information execution for ongoing GFTL-led change-programs in PD/PM functional areas
Project manage events like the Ericsson Developer conference and similar that focus on the company perspective of DEVELOP
Manage and drive continuous communication channels to the DEVELOP community such as Ericsson PD Newsletter, DEVELOP Intranet etc.
Contribute to the DEVELOP strategy.


Competence, traits and experience requirements
Own development experience – he/she need to understand the needs of developers, understand the “lingo” and earn the trust from the DEVELOP community.
Highly developed networking skills, a person who is both energizing and who get energized from working with others. A person who is engaging, inviting and encouraging, who brings people along/onboard and encourage them to try.
Strategic skills, a person who can see patterns and foresee future needs and trigger work to enable proactive work in wanted/needed direction.
Leadership skills, a person with experience from both line management roles and from project/program management roles.
Pedagogical skills, a person who can sense-make and explain in an understandable way.
Being non-prestigious and generous, a person with enough seniority and insights and a true willingness to help/coach others to grow, to provide smart people with a “stage” from which they can add value and be seen/recognized.
A large contact network, a person who already has a large contact network and preferably is a “well known” and respected person as this could make a “kick start” possible (if/when appointed).
Almost a native in social media, a person who naturally use communication tools and social media. A person for whom this comes natural and automatic.
