Overview
To be able to build and maintain a sustainable competitive advantage in the end-to-end logistics strategies, capture synergies and secure the implementation, SCA is introducing a Regional Distribution Manager Cross-BU.
We offer you the chance to become a part of the Regional Management team of Business Logistics for Consumer Goods Region North as the Distribution Manager. Our role is to manage and optimize the Business Logistics within the region according to business requirements. Business Logistics is a function within the Sales and Marketing organisation for Consumer Goods Region North.
The Distribution Manager secures supply-capacity and delivers cost efficiency and additional value in logistics sourcing programs, by developing and implementing the Supply Stream Strategy for Transports (incl. market-WHs and other logistics services) for our Region North operations. This means developing, continuously reviewing and adjusting the strategy as well as driving the implementation of the related activities together with the business units to put the strategy into action. The function is responsible to deliver the services as defined in the SLA with the BU’s in the Region.
The position is based in Gothenburg and you will report to the Consumer Goods Regional Business Logistics Director and have a dotted line to the Regional Business Logistics Directors for the Business Units Away from Home and Incontinence Care and a dotted line to the Global Logistics Sourcing Director.



Main Tasks
The role supports the different distribution strategies per BU in line with regional business plans/strategies as well as supports the further development of our global distribution sourcing processes and the related activities. The Regional Distribution Manager has an expert view on business demands and the relevant supplier market. He or she will also represent Hygiene Logistics North internally as well as externally, i.e. act as an interface to Markets, Global Business Services, IT and Product Supply internally as well as Logistics Service Providers externally.

Secures supply, delivers cost efficiency and delivers additional value for the related Supply Streams and according to the agreed Service level Agreement with the BU/Region
Drives BU-wide implementation of the strategy via follow-up processes incl. execution of specific sub-strategies like tenders, frame-contracts, RfQ, etc. taken regional specifics into account
Performs internal and external benchmarks on a regular base to further improve performance and establish best practises
Drives supplier-performance with scorecards and regular follow-up meetings involving the BU’s on an appropriate level
Analyses and follow-up transport cost development, identify potential improvement areas and suggest corrective actions to the business
Implements processes, tools and systems to execute Transportation Management in collaboration with the operating business and our suppliers
Secure integration of current and new business requirements and identify, assess and manage business and development projects in the distribution area
Act as a project leader in distribution related projects
Improve transport efficiency by optimizing load-fill, turn-around time and tender-adherence
Secure transport capacity to safeguard our service levels
This role will in the future include responsibility over personnel

Key Competencies
University degree within relevant practice
Has broad business and industry experience in logistics/supply chain management (> 5 years) and solid experience in purchasing with demonstrated procurement competencie
Extensive understanding in Sourcing and Supplier Relationship Management Strategies as well as in-depth practical experiences in transport procurement
Profound experience in project-management and good commercial understanding
Proven leadership skills and experiences from working and achieving results in a complex matrix organisation
Good understanding of order to billing and replenishment processes in SAP
Good understanding of transportation and sourcing relatedg tools like Ariba, Transporeon/TI-contract, Transwide, Ortec, TMS-applications, etc.
Languages: Fluent in English and one of the Scandinavian languages – written and verbal
Ability to travel, 30-50 days per year

The person we are looking for have the ability to see the overall picture as well as handling the details. You also have the ability to work and communicate to a lot of different functions within the organisation. You need to be very good at both decision making and priority setting and the job requires that you handle many different tasks at the same time. Therefore you need to have a well-structured and organised way of working as well as service provider mind-set. We are looking for someone who has the ability to turn strategy into actions and deliver results.
