Two Doctoral Candidates with research focus on Media

Jönköping International Business School (JIBS) is one of four schools within Jönköping University. The School is recognized as the most international business school in Sweden and one of the most international in the world. It has about 150 employees and 2100 students.

JIBS has a mission to advance the theory and practise of business to facilitate sustainable value creation in private and public organizations, with emphasis on Entrepreneurship, Ownership and Renewal.

The Media Management and Transformation Centre (MMTC) at JIBS is led by Mart Ots, PhD. Research at the center focus broadly on the economic impact of media in society and its implications for businesses and policy makers. Current research projects include exploring the drivers of media entrepreneurship, the changing function and effectiveness of advertising media, the business of user participation in social media, and the strategic change and sustainability of traditional media organizations.

QUALIFICATIONS AND TASKS
Applicants must hold a bachelor degree in economics or business administration. In addition, you should be able to work both independently and in a team. Prior hands-on experiences from media or creative industries, including past employment, internships, studies, or own projects and
initiatives, are highly valued.

INFORMATION
Starting in August 2014, or by mutual agreement, the doctoral candidates will enroll in a doctoral programme (business administration or economics) and participate in research projects and other activities at the centre. As a doctoral candidate JIBS offers you full-time employment, where at least 80% of your time is devoted to your doctoral studies.
