Scope of the assignment

Support the ESS project organisation, NSS, with preparing necessary documentation:

- Use CHESS (ESS document management tool) as it pertains to meet the quality requirements on documents and assist NSS Detector project in the use of the tool. This includes:
- create new document

- create new revision of existing document,

- find/use appropriate template

- assign reviewers

- describe purpose of review

- help identify review scope necessary

- start review process

- Proof-read and edit technical documents in English - fix formatting errors, language errors.

- Help document owners fix existing documents with known errors and bring them into alignment with quality requirements for ESS documentation.

- Structure the documentation by linking documents to the ESS wide facility breakdown structure.

- Determine, based on ESS guidelines, where documentation needs to be complemented or updated.

Assignment may also include:

- Manage content of Confluence page (website)

- Manage Jira (issue tracking project management tool) tasks

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor in technical field (ex. engineering, physics, safety, chemistry) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Knowledge of common Elmech (Mechatronic) engineering standards and practices will be considered an asset

- Experience in document management.

- Experience writing, proof-reading and editing of technical documentation; experience with documentation in English.

- Proficiency in graphic design software for creating illustrations will be considered an asset.

- Ability to communicate well with individuals in technical fields including engineering, science, safety, instrumentation and control, information technology.

- Excellent written and oral skills in English.
