Electromobility Development Engineers with focus on HV Battery

To our AVL office in Gothenburg, we are now looking for experienced Engineers wanting to develop the future Electric and Hybrid vehicles with us.
We see that you have at least 3-8 years’ experience from relevant areas and now are ready to take your next career step. You will participate in the ongoing and upcoming development projects within Electromobility and Hybridization.
We work in projects at our own facilities and at our customer’s sites. It’s important that you are open for and interested in working as a consultant at our customers. As an AVL representative, we expect you to be responsive and that you enjoy new challenges. We see that you have good social skills, are driven, good communication skills in English and preferably Swedish as well. That you always strive to deliver your uttermost. It’s a strong merit if you already have experience from automotive companies in the Gothenburg area.
We are focusing on building and expanding our local competence within the HV Battery area here in Gothenburg. The future goal is to run inhouse projects and you will be a part of building this area up with us. For this purpose, we require HV Battery competence within Mechanical engineering, System engineering, Electric and Electronic Engineering, Structure and Thermal simulation and HV Battery testing.
To start with, this will most likely include assignments at our customers where work tasks could be Component Responsible driving requirements, communication/reporting internally and with supplier, FMEA, planning, follow up etc. and therefore good social skills being able to cooperate in big network is required. It may also include being involved in projects designing HV batteries in terms of System engineering, Mechanical engineering, E/E engineering, Simulations or Testing. 
Project involvements could be both at our Engineering Center at Lindholmen (Gothenburg) and possibly together with other AVL sites or as Resident Engineer at customers in the Gothenburg area. Shorter assignments (up to 6 month) on other sites in Sweden or Europe may be a possibility in the future. It’s therefore important that you enjoy new challenges!
 
Your responsibilities: 
Master’s degree within Power Electronic, Physics, Mechatronic or equivalent.
At least 3-8 years’ experience within the field of Electromobility, preferably HV Battery.
Documented high interest within Automotive.
Experience from automotive companies within the Gothenburg area
Very good social and communication skills in English. Swedish is meritorious.

Important characteristics are also responsiveness, customer focused with a security mindset.
EU Driver’s license (B) (Truck driver’s license is a merit)

 
Your profile: 
Competence within Electrical Safety.
Experience within Functional Safety, ISO26262 or equivalent.
Knowledge within model-based development, i.e. MATLAB/Simulink
Power Electronics tools PSCAD, PSpice, LTSpice
Electric Machine tools COMSOL Multiphysics, ANSYS Maxwell/Simplorer
GT Suite
Python
C/C++
CAD experience within Catia and/or Creo.
