Kongsberg Automotive AB in Mullsjö is part of the Kongsberg Automotive group. The product development within Kongsberg Automotive is subject to global competition, with high demands on our performance.
Kongsberg Automotive have now started a new Center of Excellence (COE) for Electronic and SW development in Mullsjö. This team will be responsible for design, development and test of the electronics for the full product range within all business areas in Europe. We also work together with our colleagues in North America and Asia in a global automotive market.

Our objective is to be in the global frontline of our product ranges where electronics is having an increasing impact on our designs. Working towards global customers and suppliers means a great portion of international contacts. You are a part of a functional team that works with the full range from concept studies to product design and refinement of existing products.

Job profile
As an Electronic Engineer, you will be working in projects with close consultation towards the application team in each business unit. Responsible in electronics engineering and develops, validates and launches new components of electronic, mechanical and electromechanical systems to support new sales opportunities and maintain Kongsberg as a leader in its field. Takes part in establishing specification proposals for new products and services, and provides cost analysis for developing quotes. As an Electronics engineer in this field, you resolve questions related to applications and supports development and validation of various products.
The Electronic Engineering team is responsible for products like PCBA's, wire harnesses, motors, solenoids, etc. working as an integral part of our automotive products.

Candidate profile
. MSc / BSc Engineering degree electrical engineering, or related fields of study in electronics
. >5 years' experience of embedded electronic PCBA design experience, including experience of harsh
environment (preferably automotive) design and testing.
. Strong background in electronics design
. Experience in design for EMC
. Experience with Altium
. Fluency in spoken and written English and Swedish.
. Team player with a strong drive and a positive attitude.
. Able to work in a structured way, both independently and in a team
. Committed, self-starting and taking responsibility, high focus and interest to improve the day-to-day
work.
. Solution and result driven approach.
. Experience from ISO 16750, IEC 61508, MISRA, Autosar and ISO 26262 or similar is valuable.
. Fluency in spoken and written Swedish and English
