About the job
In this expert role, you drive, lead and coordinate our global performance and engagement strategy – by collaborating, building cross-functional relations, and switching between a holistic view and hands-on approach. You take responsibility for the work connected to employee engagement, diversity and inclusion (D&I), and performance management – ensuring that everything we do supports our company strategy. You collect and sync engagement data and people analytics to produce robust analysis and contribute to strategic planning and decision-making at the top executive level.
Keeping up with market trends and best practices in your area is important, and as you lead our forum of expertise within Performance and Engagement, you share your knowledge and insights with stakeholders at all levels – while continuously driving improvements and responding to changing business needs.


You report to, and act in close collaboration with Vice President & Head of Employee Experience. You’ll be based in Stockholm or another Sandvik location in Europe, and occasional travel to our business units around the world is part of the job.
Your profile
We’re looking for someone with knowledge within performance management, employee engagement, and D&I, who’s been working strategically and operationally in a global environment for several years. You’re an experienced project manager, used to navigating in a decentralized organization with cross-functional collaborations and in close contact with managers and HR. You’re also comfortable in presenting your cause to top management. We expect an interest in new digital solutions, and experience from using Workday is advantageous. As we act in a global setting, you must be fluent in English, verbally and in writing.


You’re characterized by a structured, pragmatic and innovative way of working, and you capture opportunities without losing track of our direction. With a strategic view, you respond timely to business requirements and act on both urgent, short-term and long-term objectives. In all of your work, you rely on strong stakeholder management and great collaborations, and you empower people to find efficient solutions, look at new perspectives and share best practices.
