Engineer Fuseing and Grounding Strategy for assignment in Trollhättan

We are now looking for an engineer to work as “Engineer Fuseing and Grounding Strategy” for one of our clients in Trollhättan. You will part of a team of Engineers, with primary responsibility for the Power & Signal distribution system, electro-mechanical components, and 12v battery.

In this role, you will Develop Wire-Harness Schematics from Interface Descriptions and Mechanical Packaging (positioning). “Logical Design” of wire-harness. Ensure that Fuse and Ground point allocation to the components (Sensors, Actuators, ECUs) of the electrical system fulfills requirement. Working in close cooperation with Mechanical Architecture team, Electrical Architecture team, and Wire harness suppler in designing complete vehicle wire-harness design. Develop, calibrate and evaluate according to project timing. Identify root-causes of identified issues during verification/validation and develop countermeasures/solutions as needed. Identifying opportunities and implement changes to improve products or processes and reduce cost. Anchoring the assignment´s decisions, development and status with the responsible line management. An Engineer Fuseing & Grounding Strategy primarily collaborates internally with other engineers, technical specialists. Collaborates externally with suppliers and is involved in all phases of a car project.


You will be employed by StudentConsulting and work as hired consultant for our client. Assignment starting immediately or by agreement after vacation 2016.

We are looking for someone who is comfortable to speak English and enjoys working in a creative working environment. Other qualifications: Minimum education of a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Minimum 2 years’ experience from automotive Power & Signal Distribution system design. Experience from working with tools like Saber Harness, Mentor Graphics Capital or equivalent. Ability to communicate clearly in English, both spoken and written. We will assign this job as soon as we find the right candidate.
