In brief

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to join Nordnet’s Engineering department. We currently have 18 agile teams, many of them full stack with engineers, tech leads, and product owners that together take an idea from inception to product launch.

Nordnet Engineering is growing fast and we are looking for managers to help lead the exciting journey.

This is part of the role

As responsible for one or more of these teams you will have the title Engineering Manager and own the team’s delivery process, progress, and wellbeing. You help plan, lead and coach the team with the support of a Scrum Master. You are the people manager of the engineers and are responsible for competence development, growth of technical expertise, and hiring to your team and Engineering as a whole. We aslo believe that you have a great focus on delivery that’s shaping your management style.

You ensure an agile way of working and facilitate organizational change if required. You work close with the product owner, setting goals for your team. You collaborate with your peers as well as the Engineering department in general, human resources (HR) and the business stakeholders.

This is you

Most probably you are well founded in the majority of the following:

• Education – BSC or similar within data, math or telecom
• Agile work methods in practice
• Software development and design or project management
• Fluent language skills in English are mandatory
• Bank & Finance experience is a plus


You are passionate about agile development, leadership and coaching. You are organized, methodical and communicative in a way that benefits the team’s working climate and ability to excel. Nordnet has a lot of new launches ahead and it would therefore be beneficial if you still have a technical interest that’s focused among JavaScript, React and Java. We want to work with the latest technique and we hope that you’ll share our passion!
