Business Line Force Measurement is one of three Business Lines within the Division Measurement & Analytics. We develop and provide a comprehensive range of measurement and analytics products designed to improve control, productivity and quality in a wide variety of processes and industries. The Order Engineering Manager role is fun and collaborative. A role where you and your team will provide technical expertise and support throughout the supply chain, from quotation to final delivery. That means being involved in providing technical sales support in the absolute first customer contact to produce documentation for manufacturing and subcontracting.
The role is located in Västerås and you will be reporting to the Operations Manager and be a part of the Operations management team.
Your responsibilities
You will lead a team of eight designers in mechanics, electronics, and production preparation with a focus on delivering high-quality, cost-effective and value-creating technical solutions to our customers.
Setting up a strategy for order-based design according to operations and ABB's strategic initiatives in line with the digitalization vision to drive competitive advantage.
Drive continuous improvement activities to increase the effectiveness of processes, policies and routines.
Evaluate and conceptually develop the design according to DFX, DFA (Design For Assembly), DFM (Design For Manufacturing) or DFS (Design For Service).
You have budget responsibility for the department and ensure relevant KPIs are developed, monitored and appropriate actions are taken.

Your background
You are passionate about creating team spirit, employee commitment and results.
You have a high level of self-motivation and curiosity, and a desire to learn about new technologies.
Technical background and it’s an advantage if you have experience either from mechanical, automation and/or electrical engineering.
LEAN mindset in your quest for operational excellence with a focus on constantly improving our processes.
Proficiency in Swedish and English.
