Academic Work is looking for a student to support our client Better Shelter approximately 2 days a week.

This recruitment process is conducted by Academic Work and the request from Better Shelter is that all questions regarding the position is handled by Academic Work.

This job is a staffing position, which means that you will be employed by Academic Work and work as a consultant at Better Shelter. The mission is initiatly 6 months with chance of extension.

ARBETSUPPGIFTER
Better Shelter's vision is to create a world where all people have a place they can call home and has as mission to improve the lives of people who for various reasons do not have a safe housing situation. They have created temporary and flexible shelters that meets the basic needs of living standards. Better Shelters product is currently nominated by TIME Magazine as top 25 Best Invention in 2016.

As the organization grows, they are currently in need of a student engineer who, for two days a week, can support the Technical manager at Better Shelter in his daily work in various projects, related to their product. You will e.g. be working with material creation that involves selecting, preparing and shipping different materials to labs to ensure quality. Furthermore, you will based on the response from the laboratories, compile and summarize technical reports and therefore also have external communications. You will also be involved in preparing and carrying out tests both indoors and outdoors for Better Shelters product.

You will, for example:


* Support and relieve the Technical manager in his daily work
* Prepare material samples in the company's workshop
* Writing summaries of technical reports


This position is suitable for you who is passionate about working with a product that changes the lives of people. To thrive in the role, you are currently a student in the engineering field and have a good technical understanding. You feel comfortable working in a smaller organization where you have the opportunity to take responsibility and take initiative. Initially you will get an introduction with your hiring manager where you are introduced to your colleagues and tasks.

VI SÖKER DIG SOM
* Is currently studying your final year in mechanical engineering, structural engineering, construction engineering or other relevant technical field and thus have a good theoretical knowledge.


* Is fluent in the English language as all documentation and communication is held in English.

Have previous work experience in the field of engineering

As a person you are primarily engaged in the work you do. You can independently pursue your work and like to have responsibility. Your able to see the overall picture of the work and not afraid to dive into details.

Because of the nature of the work you will perform, e.g. select materials and summarize technical reports, it is important that you are meticulous, structured and have an analytical ability. Furthermore, you are not afraid to speak your mind, ask questions and are open to discussions and to brainstorm new ideas and thoughts with your colleagues.
