The Swedish Committee for Afghanistan (SCA) is looking for ENNA Information and Administration Officer Posted at ENNA office in Brussels ENNA The European Network of NGOs in Afghanistan (ENNA) coordinates joint European policy & advocacy work of its 17 member agencies, 4 Associates and their Afghan counterparts.Most member agencies have a long-term engagement in development assistance and/or humanitarian aid in Afghanistan; some have been active in the country over three decades. The ENNA Secretariat, headed by the ENNA Manager, is responsible for: gathering information and analyzing developments in Europe-Afghanistan policy making.The ENNA Secretariat comprises 3 staff members and 1 Special Advisor.The ENNA Secretariat will be based in Stockholm and Brussels, the main office is with SCA in their Stockholm Management Office. Scope of Work Directly responsible to the ENNA Manager.The ENNA Information and Administration Officer is the administrative hub of ENNA.The post-holder is responsible for efficient knowledge management from contacts across Europe.Effective event support is another part of this role.The post-holder will ensure efficient logistics, minutes and conference reports for meetings and events in Brussels as well as in member states.This will include organizing travel arrangements and visas for Afghans and international VIPs. Entry Requirements Qualifications: University Degree desirable or other evidence of experience in administration and financial reporting.Experience: - At least two years of relevant work experience in knowledge management and administration, including financial administration, preferably within an NGO setting.- At least 1 years of experience in organizing events including logistics, communications and reports around events.Others: - Excellent command of English and preferably strong French communication skills.- Demonstrated ability to set up and maintain data bases and administrative routines.- Demonstrated ability organising events including effective support to high-level speakers.- Ability to prioritise, delegate, handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines - Ability to travel occasionally within Europe.Responsibilities General - To effectively manage ENNA?s information systems.- To assist the Manager and Coordinator in organizing events in Brussels and member states.- Effective knowledge management, easily accessible for ENNA staff.- Manage incoming calls and communication for staff based in Brussels.- Responsible for travel and logistics for events and financial administration.Application information Last day of application: 14 July 2010 Contract period: 1 September 2010 ?Working schedule: 19 hours/week, daily or concentrated as agreed.In periods around events full time work may be required; this is compensated in leave.Please note CVs will not be accepted.
