We are looking for an Environmental engineer at Volvo Group Trucks Technology. You will have a key role to drive and governance that we ensure safe work environment and environmentally friendly operations. You will be a main driver of identifying environment risks that arise at our site and how we address them together with other functions.
As an environmental engineer you will play a key role in managing the sites environmental requirements from our operations. You will support the site with expert expertise within the area of chemical management, waste management and emission to air and water reduction.
You will initiate and participate in risk assessments, revisions and in our regulatory compliance work securing we have good documentation and structure.
You will manage internal networks within relevant areas, create and develop tools and methods to minimize the environmental risks and footprint from our operations. You will analyze, collect and follow our performance within relevant environmental areas, and present our results and educate were needed

The Technical Safety and Environment team is part of Rigs and Workshops Complete Vehicle organization. We are currently 6 highly skilled experts with deep knowledge in safety and environment expertise. We are working strongly together and in close collaboration with all other parts of Lundby sites to ensure that the site is safe and environmentally friendly while developing cutting-edge technologies and sustainable solutions that will change the future of transportation. We offer a dynamic work where we help each other out, explore together, and constantly learn.


Essential Skills and Needed Work Experience
University degree in Engineering or Environmental Science or equivalent work experience
Several years of work experience within the field of work environment and within a coordinating function
Very good ability to communicate, collaborate and make decisions
Strong ability to work with a sense of urgency and with a doer ability
Fluent in English and Swedish both written and spoken
Experience from R&D, production environment, construction work or similar is an advantage
