We’re looking for an Environmental Specialist to help improve outcomes for healthcare professionals and their patients.
The role:
Reporting directly to the Global EHS System Manager you will work as part of the Global EHS team within Operations, developing and implementing environmental policies and procedures, best practices and plans in order to facilitate and continually improve the environmental management system in compliance with applicable legislation and standards to support the continual reduction of the impact from the organisation and our products on the environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Primarily supporting R&D, Procurement and Sales & Marketing functions
Provide environment practice advice for tenders and product development projects
Monitor relevant existing and proposed environmental EU and international legislation.
Support global environmental improvement projects/tasks
Communicate and raise awareness at appropriate levels of the organisation of the impact of emerging environmental issues
Develop and support continued certification of the environmental part of our 14001 management system
Support the organisation in preparation for external, global certification audits and internal audits
Conduct training in environmental issues and responsibilities as required
Provide adhoc environmental support to additional business areas

Qualifications & Experience:
Relevant academic qualification in Environmental Studies or similar – Essential
Demonstrable post-study work experience within a similar role supporting functions such as R&D, Procurement and Sales & Marketing – Essential
Analytical and strategic mindset - Essential
Fluent English written and spoken – Essential
Prior knowledge of auditing ISO 140001 - Beneficial
Previous experience developing sustainability policies – Beneficial
Exposure to Med Device or Pharma industry – Beneficial
