EU GDPR PRIVACY LEGAL

BACKGROUND
Privasee is a niche player in the field of compliance to the European Union (EU) General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) due to replace existing data protection laws in every EU member state on 25th May 2018.
It is a new market demanding new skills which cross domains of 1) compliance, 2) risk mitigation, 3) legal data protection, and 4) project management.
Privasee, which is in start-up/seed phase, has developed innovative products, the principle being GDPR privacy compliance as a cloud service (complimented with on and offline privacy training). Those who work for Privasee today, are privacy advocates and are driven with a desire to do privacy correctly, i.e. products which are data-subject centric over technology, system centric; which aligns with requirements in the GDPR pertaining to the Rights of the Data Subject, and the Privacy by Design (user-centric) approach.
Privasee is growing rapidly. In addition to the CEO, there are 2 employees (Sweden and UK) working with these products, testing prototypes direct on client site, and conducting quality control on the use of the GDPR on the mapping to the ISO29100 Privacy Framework standard, contained within their products.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Are you looking for your first adventure following completion of your LL.M?
Privasee is looking for an LL.M; energetic and international professional to join their team ASAP! Most important is that the individual is a ?self-starter?, innovative, and is excited by the changes about to happen with the enactment of the GDPR in 2018. This individual should have a deep desire in human rights and the rights of the data subject which is engraved within the legal text and interpretations of the GDPR.
The individual of whom matches this criteria, will not be working purely on legal specific activities. Due to the start-up nature of the business, the individual will need to enjoy getting involved in every aspect of a start-up, from updating the website, twitter feeds, and Privasee?s own privacy notice and internal privacy policies, etc., to engaging with clients directly to advise on the more complex aspects of legal compliance contained within the GDPR.

ii. Desired: Certified Information Privacy Professional, EU (CIPP/E) certification (www.iapp.org), or able to be obtained within 3 months.
