The Fuel Section within Powertrain Installation is responsible for the development of the fuel and EVAP system (EVAPorative Control System). The section consists of approximately 50 employees in four groups where our group is working with fuel lines and EVAP system. As an Experienced CAD Design Engineer for the EVAP system and fuel lines, you will work with packaging, installation and design of fuel lines, valves, sensors, canisters, brackets and fasteners. You will ensure functionality and features such as NVH, pressure drop, strength, corrosion, impact safety, thermodynamics, ground clearance, manufacturability and serviceability. Complex geometries in the engine compartment and the back of the vehicle are a part of our everyday lives including a wide network of contacts both within our company and towards our suppliers. Our customers are facing new opportunities to drive their vehicles on new types of fuel. Various forms of bio-diesel, gasoline, alcohols etc. with tax incentives makes our cars expected to withstand more different mixtures of fuels. We must take into account how these fuels are aged by for example, bacteria and heat. We therefore need to strengthen our team with an experienced CAD designer to secure long term competence and to deliver our future projects. Main responsibilities

* Prompt installation issues in packing meeting
* Create 3D geometries in Catia V5, and to create associated 2D drawings
* Prepare a production friendly and cost effective solution together with the suppliers
* Ensure properties such as, temperature, strength etc. are kept together with the product manager
* Perform design work in the area EVAP system and fuel lines for petrol and diesel
* Develop new packing geometries in new projects or when problems are detected
* Influence future development strategies and participate in the development team

Required qualifications

* University degree at least BSc or equivalent experience
* Experienced user of Catia V5
* At least six years of design experience in polymers, metal or rubber materials
* Ability to lead and to work in groups
* Fluent in English (written and spoken)
* Driver´s licence
* Design for Six Sigma and design for tool production is meritorious
