Export Control Manager

What you will be a part of
Kockums provides design, construction and in-service support for advanced naval systems such as surface combatants and submarines to the Swedish Armed Forces and other customers worldwide. Our product portfolio consist of the air-independent Stirling system, mine countermeasure systems and submarine rescue systems amongst other. Kockums operate in Karlskrona, Malmö, Muskö,  and Singapore. Export Control is a function within Sourcing & Supply and workplace could be either Karlskrona or Malmö.



Your role
As Head of the Export Control function you report to the Head of Sourcing & Supply within Kockums. You ensure implementation of applicable corporate legal/commercial directives and decisions by directing and supporting the Business Units. It is your role to direct and facilitate  Kockums short and long term competence development in the discipline of Export Control. To be  Kockums point of contact to Corporate Export Control and applicable external Authorities & Agencies.

Your skills and experience
You have proven leadership track record in the discipline of Export Control in a company or other Enterprise managing complex systems solutions as well as a appropriate professional or postgraduate qualification.
Further you have good understanding of and experience in international Defence customers, industry and national/political agencies.
To be able to fully understand the Saab and the Business Areas strategies and policies and act in accordance with those directions.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to relate to staff from different disciplines and level of the organization through to external customers are other important abilities.
In an environment with constant changes you need to be flexible and able to highly develop problem solving skills and quick, effective, and reasonable courses of action with short notice and also willingness and ability to continuously adapt and learn.
Education, training and counselling are essential parts of the work tasks and therefore we put a lot of emphasis on personal characteristics.
