Finnish-Swedish In-house translator

Acolad Finland is looking for an enthusiastic, fluent and efficient FI-SV in-house translator. In addition to versatile translation assignments, the work also includes language review, proof-reading and quality assurance, as well as auxiliary tasks related to terminology and linguist evaluation. Your customers include major public sector players in Finland and well-known companies.
We require:
- At least a couple of years of experience as a professional linguist, for ex. as a freelancer translator
- Native (or very close to native) level of Swedish and a solid command of the Finnish language
- Willingness to develop as a language professional using modern technology (translation memory programs, machine translation and post-editing)
- An open attitude towards different specialties and the ability to become acquainted with our clients' translation needs.
We appreciate:
- University degree in translation or other linguistic fields
- Experience on texts in various fields (for ex. public administration, banking and insurance and / or marketing, business communication, medicine)
- Experience on using translation memory tools
- Good time management skills and customer-oriented mindset.

Our head office is located in Helsinki, but we have offices all over Finland. Your main location can also be your home office, as long as you are willing to travel in Finland/Sweden, if needed. The position is a full-time, permanent position starting at your convenience.
