ESS is now looking for a Facility Management Fire and Sprinkler Technician for the Facility Management Group organised within the Project Directorate. As a Fire and Sprinkler Technician you will be part of the ESS Facility Management team, working with several different tasks, such as performing fire related tests and inspections, be responsible for SBA work (sv: Systematiskt brandskyddsarbete) in the handed over buildings. Since this is a facility where the availability of the operation is highly prioritized, the ability to plan and organize fire related maintenance in this complex environment is important.

Job description

Your main areas of responsibilities as a Facility Management Fire and Sprinkler Technician will be to:


• Be responsible for inspection, testing and maintenance of Fire alarm and Sprinkler system
• Be familiar with the entire structure and function of the system
• Coordinate and conduct monthly tests
• Coordinate and conduct quarterly tests.
• Coordinate audit inspections
• Ensure that maintenance is performed according to the maintenance manuals
• Responsible for SBA (sv: Systematiskt brandskyddsarbete) work in collaboration with ESS’s ES&H department
• Ensure that fire extinguishers are in place and controlled
• Update evacuation plans
• Perform and plan inspection and service of Smoke Shutters and Fire Extinguishing Doors.
• Responsible for maintenance of emergency lighting
• In case of hot work, be contact person and make sure fire alarm / sprinkler is switched on / off
• Support audit and insurance risk engineer inspections
• Act as hot work responsible for some areas
• Be part of the ESS’s First Responders Team.

 Qualifications

We think that the successful candidate has:


• A good knowledge of current legislation and regulations in the field of fire and sprinklers
• Experience in installations in real estate maintenance/industry
• Good knowledge in Microsoft office programs like Words, Excel etc
• Experience from computer aided facility management systems like Infor is an advantage
• Experience with working in multi disciplines, coordinating work across a broad spectrum of different installations

We truly believe that you have an excellent way of collaborating with people with different knowledge and background. You have a good understanding of how to coordinate work between different disciplines in a complex project, such as ESS. You are curious and interested to perform your own task, but also to collaborate and to help out the rest of the FM team in their different disciplines. When needed, you will be happy to assist in maintenance of the FM installation systems.

Good oral and written English skills are necessary and a well-developed ability for both collaborative and independent work are expected. You have an eye for details and take great pride in maintaining a high level of quality in all the work you carry out.

Please note that on call/work outside normal working hours may be required.

Duration & Location
The position is permanent with six months initial probationary period 

Your work place will be situated in Lund, Sweden. 

Start date
The position is to be filled as soon as possible.
