This is a full-time consultant assignment planned to start 2017-03-01 and continue until 2017-08-31.

The Arena
The department Advance Drug Delivery in Gothenburg develops formulations and analytical methods for nucleotide based drugs i.e., oligos and mRNA. We work in preclinical and clinical phase up to Phase 2 b within the cardiovascular, metabolic and oncology therapy areas.

Tasks and responsibilities/The role
We are looking for a formulation scientist who can work together with us to develop and deliver nucleotide formulations for in vitro and in vivo studies. You will be working with parenteral formulations of oligos and lipid based formulations for mRNA. You will be working according to GLS and collaborate with analytical chemists and biologists to drive the projects and technologies forward. Formulations are developed for, sub cutaneous, intra venous and oral administration.

Minimum requirements
MSc or equivalent in pharmaceutical science, chemistry or biotechnology. Good knowledge in written and spoken English is necessary. Knowledge about pharmaceutical formulation development.

Preferred experience and key factors
You should be organised, analytical, flexible and accurate. Ability to both work on your own and together with other. Experience of working with oligos, RNA or peptides and experience of working with parenteral formulations is an advantage. Knowledge about colloidal systems as liposomes, nanoparticles.
