The Hardware & Framework Verification Group
The HW & FW Verification group consists of 3 different teams with highly skilled verification engineers; all focused mainly on the HW aspects of the electrical & electronics systems of the trucks. This open position is within the Framework team which is responsible for verification of the non-functional parts of the system. It includes work within the fields of communication, diagnostics, power management, Autosar and electrical stress according to ISO specifications & Volvo standards. The team is responsible for developing test specifications, test methods, testing, planning & reporting. The future challenges of the team include finding smart ways to create automatic tests and an even more global way of working.

Work description
The daily work consists of coordination meetings and test activity preparations, but mainly of verification work and investigations in trucks and rigs. Your main interfaces outside the team are the verification leaders, but occasionally other project leaders or engineers asking for information and help in investigations and support within your technical areas. As a part of the team you will have to have a broad technical spectrum to cover more than just one verification area and an interest in learning new things. For this position we would like to see someone with a genuine interest in verification, but also wanting to focus on project or team leading further on.

Core responsibilities
- Planning verification activities in the active test loop, but also planning further ahead for specific projects and/or verification area

- Verification activities in at least two of the Framework areas

- Reporting results to project and line

- Actively working together with the other team members to secure that the Framework team as a whole can deliver according to the set time plans

Required Competencies
- Basic understanding of CAN and LIN communication and/or knowledge within any of the other Framework areas states above in the presentation of "The Hardware & Framework Verification Group"

- Fluent in written and spoken English

- Working experience within any type of test & verification

- Any background within scripts, automatic test creation and/or test equipment or tool development is a good merit

- Understanding of Volvo tools and processes is a good merit

- Truck license is a good merit

- Highly motivated and loves team work

Minimum Education Required
- University Degree in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science or recognized equivalent

Physical requirements
- To be able to climb in and out of a truck
