Arbetsbeskrivning
Tech has always been at our core. Everything started in 2006 when Linus built Ridestore.se, an early e-com site, from his childhood bedroom. Since then, a lot has changed, but focusing on customers and tech has always been with us. We have a rather large business today and want to create an even better setup on the tech side of the business. To this day, Linus runs the front-end e-com platform and is a strong driver on the innovation side regarding tech. Now we want to work with a full-stack developer with a flair for business logic to support and work with the operational side of the business.
What’s the role about? 📌
We want you to focus on the back end and be technically involved in the operational tech development. You will partner with the business regarding architecture, setup, implementations, and maintenance of existing systems, which today live in a rather unstructured world. This role will work closely with Jeppe (https://www.linkedin.com/in/jesper-par%C3%B6-77358aa2/), our product manager, for the backend part of the business.
In the short term, you have gained an understanding of our current systems and workflows to focus all your skills and capabilities on developing the operation side at Ridestore. Btw, this is the tech stack (https://stackshare.io/ridestore/ridestore-new) we’re working with today 🤓
In the long term, you will be an enabler in creating a tech-savvy, innovative, automized, and systemized company where tech is even better used in everything we do. What a computer can do better than a human, a computer should do. It will help us keep a tight organization with engaged people that can work smarter instead of harder. Tech will always need to be front and center.
Sounds interesting? 💃🏽 Then this is who we’re looking for!
You enjoy supporting people with your technical expertise. We hope you have been in a similar owner-led company as Ridestore. Maybe you have experienced hyper-growth in a customer-focused DTC company. Or maybe not? Anyway, we have set up our ways of working with asynchronous communication in the core - we use Asana as a shared workspace, Github/Zenhub for technical productivity, and Slack for culture, fast comms, and fun. This means we have a flexible environment where you can focus, but it demands a lot from everyone as you need to be the driver of your work.
To have a running start in this role, you need to be great at coding in:
- Typescript
And you’d be an even better match if you have experience with some of these!
If you don’t, you need to be a fast learner.)
- Event-based architecture
- Sales platforms
- AWS
- commercetools
- API integrations
- Netsuite
- ERP
To enjoy this role at Ridestore, you;
- Have a business sense and can be strategic yet operational in a sweet mix
- Are great at communicating, both in writing and talking
- Are logical, persistent, and thorough in your work
- Are self-managed with a growth mindset - you see learning as lifelong
- Are humble to the bones, we want to work with smart people who are also great colleagues
- And you know how to laugh and have fun
Where you’ll do it? 👩🏼💻
Remotely. But we want you in the CET zone plus/minus 2 hours as most of our teams are based in Europe. Ridestore has been remote since 2014, except for some people who work in Gothenburg, where we have our only office (https://career.ridestore.com/pages/gothenburg). This means that there is an office to visit and work from when needed.
Join us! We’ll offer you freedom in a passionate and somewhat snowy environment where you can greatly impact the Ridestore journey with your work.
