Game Analytics Coordinator

About the position

Your responsibility will be to coordinate the efforts that go into building a tracking pipeline, but also in gathering and analyzing the tracked data to help the team address issues with the game. You will also be the one prioritizing and managing the efforts of implementing new KPIs and reporting templates.

Your job will be to help build a tracking system and process, both during game production, but also in the live cycle of the game. You will be the one running the further development of our tracking system, to comply with production, post-launch and business needs.

You will work closely and report to the Lead Economic Designer and be highly integrated in the production process, working close with game designers and coders, helping them identify which data to track and how to interpret the results.

You will be the speaker for analytics, keeping the production and business teams updated about tracking capabilities and results, by issuing reports on regular basis and holding presentations. You will be required to keep up to date with production needs and suggest solutions for tracking that you think could help make a better game.

Responsibilities

Coordinate tracking pipeline development
Help design a tracking pipeline and coordinate the efforts that go into building and optimizing it.
Manage and prioritize features

Manage and prioritize tracking requests
Communicate with production, management and marketing teams to identify tracking needs and plan, prioritize and supervise the development and delivery of these needs.

Tracking process & tools:
Create and refine processes for tracking and analytics. Constantly think of ways to develop the tracking tools and processes
Work closely with the design and production teams to ensure proper integration of analytics tools with production processes.

Data analysis and communication
Ensure that the data is communicated, understood and utilized. Proactively mine game data, extracting and sharing useful insights.
Undergo data visualization to add or highlight importance to tracked data. Attempt conclusions and recommendations, as part of data analysis.
Investigate data anomalies and flag possible issues with the tracking system or the game.
Keep a constant flow of communication about data tracking, its importance and results within the team

You as a candidate

The ideal candidate is organized, a fast learner, has knowledge of statistics and a background in video game development. (S)he is also expected to have good management and coordination knowledge and skills.

Required skills and experience

3+ years experience of working on a AAA/big scope game development. Having launched at least 1 title.
2+ Team management and/or project management experience
Good statistical knowledge
Has basic knowledge about game design and game development.
Good knowledge of SQL; can understand, manipulate and interrogate data
Competent with MS Excel
Excellent communication skills

Additional skills
Previous game design experience would be a plus
Previous Games Data Analytics experience in a position of Project Manager or Team Leader would be an advantage but not a must
Knowledge of Tableau or any data visualization software is highly desirable
