There is alot happening in the online gaming area, and their mission is to provide the best internet gaming solutions, using cutting edge technology, entertaining visuals, thought-through user experience and expertise. The company provides a dynamic work environment with approximately 140 employees. Nu Creatives is helping them find a game designer with user experience focus. We are looking for a true game guru! This person will be responsible for the overall design/construction and user experience of the companies games portfolio.You'll work proactively to ensure that the games are entertaining, exciting, intuitive and easy to use whilst at the same time enabling maximized revenue generation and carefully considered ROI. You'll work with design/construction of new games as well as analysis & improvement of current games. The job involves storytelling, writing manuscripts and direction. You'll create user interfaces with great user experience. You'll work together with other members of the Product Team and you are responsible for writing specifications, communicate and hand these over to the development teams ensuring maximum quality and minimum discrepancy from the specification without having to be engaged in the day-to-day development process. We think that you are a game guru with a background within industry design, interaction design, game design or the like. Tasks Together with other members of the product team, design game mechanics based on concepts and ideas, transform these into specifications for the development teams to work with. Pro-actively create new ideas for game mechanics and changes to game usability. Produce Flowcharts, specifications with the objective to create and optimise game flow in order to maximise entertainment, excitement and business value. For certain games, ensure that games are produced with a storyline in mind, and that this is followed throughout the gameplay. Ensure that all mechanics of a game is perfectly balanced ensuring maximum player value, excitement and entertainment. Work closely with other members of the product team in producing new game concepts work from start to finish with transforming ideas and gameconcepts into specifications and gamelogic. Business minded Good at understanding and assessing risks before making decisions. Willingness to follow and adhere to the processes and guidelines set for the Product Team - Games. Knowledge Experience from Game design, Storytelling and Usability. Experience from the online gaming industry and/or other interactive media, however not a prerquisite. In depth knowledge about game mechanics and psychology behind it. Experience in writing specifications, flowcharts and user stories.
