Avalanche Studios also owns Expansive Worlds who develop theHunter, the world's most realistic hunting simulator. Avalanche is looking for a talented Game Designer with a passion for action/fighting games to work on our latest project. As part of the characters team, you will primarily design and implement player combat and AI behaviors using our in-house scripting language. Other tasks include participating in design meetings, documentation and game balancing. You will work with team members of all disciplines to constantly improve the quality of the game experience from a player perspective. Requirements . 3+ years working experience as a designer or other comparable position within the gaming industry . Experience from at least one released AAA title . Scripting experience/knowledge (Python, LUA or equal) Favorable . Experience working with game editors such as UnrealEd/Hammer . Understanding of programming Ideal Skills . Strong knowledge of game design fundamentals . Strong analytical and problem-solving skills . Able to successfully produce results individually and as part of a team . Understands the importance of keeping deadlines . Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English) . Passion for playing and making games!
