Geometry Engineer

Responsible Geometry Engineer within Trim Car and Final at CEVT. The role is responsible for providing up front input to both styling and product engineering to enable competitive styling, dimensional and perceived quality, manufacturability, and reduced manufacturing complexity.

Support the following functions within the group

- Give input to the DTS from a Manufacturing point of view and feasibility approve the DTS from ME side.
- Drive Process Driven Product design and align the CEVT/Geely ME/SE community to ensure "one voice" of manufacturing tolerance requirements.
- Support the Matching & TPC process, give input to resolutions and keep track on all related issues.
Responsibilities and tasks

- Drive Process Driven Product design and align the CEVT/Geely ME/SE community to ensure "one voice" of manufacturing tolerance requirements to assure the agreed BOP.
- Support the Matching process, give input to resolutions and keep track on all related issues.
- Give input to the DTS from a Manufacturing point of view and approve the DTS from ME side.
- Partipicate in engineering meetings.

Requirements

- A degree as a certified engineer in mechanical engineering, automotive process engineering or industrial engineering.
- Experience of dimensional and geometry assurance
- Good knowledge of statistical process control
- Good level of analytical, oral and written communication ability
- Demonstrated high levels of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others, motivate others, and raise work output and results.
- Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to work independently.
- High level of analytical ability where problems are unusual and extremely difficult.
- Thorough knowledge of dimensional engineering, and final assembly process.
- Ability to read product drawings, GD&T drawings and Tool Design drawings.
- Good PC knowledge including CATIA, RD&T and Team center.
- Knowledge about dimensional simulation software and methods.
- Fluent in English (oral and written), Chinese is beneficial
- Ability to travel on a global basis, mainly China, as required
