We are a passionate, diverse and engaged team responsible for supplier management, strategic sourcing, Commercials, Quality and Delivery overall responsibility on global Suppliers and technologies.

We manage Global Commodities for Volvo CE, such as Engines, Drivelines, Electronics and Connectivity, Electromobility, Under Carriage parts, Hydraulics Controls and Actuation, or Remanufacturing, Filters, Rims and Tires.
We are globally spread teams connecting with our suppliers and stakeholders constantly to bring value to our business and customers.

Job summary
In this job you will work together with global Driveline & Motion team members as well as other SGC team members, and will be responsible for developing and deploying global commodity sourcing strategies for Driveline Components in line with our Global Volvo CE Business requirements.
You will manage Sourcing activities and Projects related to Driveline Components, and at same time you will be a source of innovative solutions for the Development of new Driveline technologies, which will require a lot of interactions with stakeholders cross functionally (such as Technology and Operations).
Volvo CE strives to have the most competitive and innovative suppliers in our supplier pool. In order to secure this, your responsibility will be to search for, evaluate and introduce these suppliers to Volvo CE. You will then work actively with these suppliers to achieve excellent relationships that can bring long term competitive edge to Volvo CE and our customers.
Main tasks/responsibilities
Develop and deploy global sourcing strategies for Driveline Components in line with our Global Volvo CE Business requirements, market technology trends and sustainability roadmaps;
Source and on-board new suppliers and be the responsible for supplier selection process (inputs gathering and stakeholders alignment);
Manage global commodity supplier base; lead commercial negotiations with suppliers including implementation of full Volvo Agreement packages;
Perform market survey, competition analysis, business intelligence to maintain a good knowledge of existing solutions and potential evolutions within the scope (new technologies);
Build and manage cross-functional relationship with various key stakeholders;
Support to optimize products and process to achieve long-term contribution to Volvo CE’s improvements on quality, sustainability, capacity and cost (QSCC);
Support new product development projects in reaching project targets (right first time) with its supplier base (Planning, target costing, technical proposals);
Conduct BRMs (Business Review Meetings) to review overall supplier performance relationship score and to align on common technology roadmaps
Support Operations and AFM according to escalation process
Work in accordance with Volvo CE processes, the Volvo Way, and Volvo values and behaviors;

You have a strategic mindset and as a person you are target oriented and believe there is always room for improvements. You are well organized and structured and love taking on complex tasks. And you have a good understanding of sourcing commodity strategy process (Volvo Sourcing Process).
You have at least a Bachelor degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or similar with 7+ years’ experience in purchasing/commodity area in relevant industry. A high degree of technical knowledge and proven strong negotiating skills is a great advantage. You are fluent in English verbal and written communication.
