The department of Planning & Capacity Management at our site in Svedala is responsible for procurement and planning for production and aftermarket, and our team consists of purchasers, planners and order handlers. We are now looking for a solution-oriented and inspiring Global Inventory Planner and Purchaser for our truly global environment, with many possibilities to influence our future development.

Job Summary
As a Global Inventory Planner and Purchaser you are responsible for building, executing and proactively improving our supply plan for designated external suppliers and ensuring overall logistics, inventory delivery services and the balance between inventory and investments, in order to reach given targets. Taking ownership of our purchasing, including inventory volumes, and acting on current and future needs are important parts of the job, as is optimizing our inventory planning by following up on parameters such as KPIs. In this position, you have a key role in building and maintaining excellent relationships with external suppliers and internal stakeholders within Sandvik's different functions, and you engage in improvements of processes related to our operations.

International travel is included in this position.

Your profile
We are looking for someone with a Master's degree in Logistics, Business Administration or Engineering, or who has gained equivalent knowledge through previous work experience. You have experience and strong capabilities in purchasing and an understanding of inventory and supply for manufacturing, preferably in a global setting. Knowledge of Movex/M3 and an APICS Certification are considered advantageous. As we interact in an international market, you have excellent skills in English, both verbal and written.

Synchronizing and collaborating with global stakeholders and engaging in continuous improvements are some of your strengths, and you take full ownership of the responsibilities within your area. As we depend on good relationships, you use your excellent communication and presentation skills to build trust within your networks; however, you do not hesitate to challenge our suppliers to reach high-quality results.
