Rosemount Tank Radar AB, a business within Emerson Process Management, in Gothenburg is a leading provider of radar-based level and tank gauging solutions for the marine, oil & gas and process industry markets. The company has tripled its sales in the last 10 years. It now has a turnover of more than 1 billion SEK and employs over 430 people worldwide. Rosemount Tank Radar has three main categories of software development: configuration software, system software and embedded software, the Global Manager Software is responsible for all three parts. The software organization is divided between Linköping, Göteborg and St Petersburg.

Main responsibilities of the Global Manager Software:

* Provide strategic and operational leadership for the software engineering discipline
* Assume responsibility for the quality of the software produced in the group
* Develop the Swedish and global software organizations
* Further improve, develop and harmonize the software development processes
* Develop the company’s future software products, platforms and software related technology
* Coordinate and seek synergies within Rosemount and Emerson through global forums and peer contacts.

The candidate for this position has a M.Sc. degree in software engineering and at least 5 years of experience in software group management and/or international project management, in addition to a great deal of practical software development experience. The candidate must have a good knowledge and understanding of process driven software development (ISO 9000, CMMI and Agile methods). She or he must also be able to communicate effectively in Swedish and English.

The position is located in the Engineering & Development department in Gothenburg or Linköping.
