Role Summary/Purpose:

We are searching for a commercially experienced Global Product Manager to join the BioProcess Downstream Systems team. The main responsibility is to manage part of the BioProcess Column range over its life cycle by setting strategic and tactical direction for the product range in a manner that maximizes the overall return and profit for the company. The role involves interactions with all other functions in the company.

Essential Responsibilities:

Develop a product life cycle strategy and recommend investment / discontinuation of product ranges. Manage all aspects of the product(s) life cycle starting with the detailed planning phase (in development) until the product is terminated, including pricing, marketing and supply chain related recommendations. Maximize the company profit over the product(s) entire life cycle.
Ensure product readiness for sale and use including registration, labeling, legal and safety requirements, storage, logistics, technical content of databases and web, and after sales support together w Service. Manage and maintain this information throughout the products life cycle.
Define and recommend value engineering of product(s) redesign to extend the life cycle. Provide input and prioritization to R&D on requirements for support, product care and research & development projects.
Ensure appropriate inventory and quality control, provide leadership to quality management and ensure competitiveness of the portfolio through proactively making cost reduction recommendations.
Own the overall product development process for new product additions to the portfolio. Create business case and adjust / monitor PFM before and during product development and launch. Prepare and implement product launch plans, coordinating with commercial stakeholders to define go-to-market strategy.
Provide sales and profitability forecasts. Support the marketing and sales organization with appropriate actions to ensure maximum return.
Sett list prices and suggest discount levels.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelor?s Degree in Engineering/Life Sciences/Biotechnology & MBA or related field.
Proven experience in a Life Sciences based business, including solid experience in marketing, sales, or product management.
Experience of customer/market focused activities.
Good interpersonal and communication skills, plus experience of using these skills to participate in and influence cross-functional teams.
EU work permit.

Desired Characteristics:

Sales experience.
Marketing Diploma or equivalent.
Awareness of GEHC product portfolio that serves this market.
