About the role

We are currently seeking a Global Tracheostomy Clinical Lead to direct our global tracheostomy education and research strategy. 

 

This is a full-time role reporting directly to the Vice President of Medical and Scientific Affairs.  As a member of the Atos Medical Global Team you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our commercial tracheostomy strategy.  You will be responsible for leading the tracheostomy education strategy across the markets and collaborating with the countries on their local tracheostomy education plan to ensure they deliver against their objectives. 

You will play a pivotal role in directing Atos’ future research in the area of tracheostomy and managing global or regional research or therapeutic projects as well as acting as an expert involved in the design and conduct of individual clinical trials. 

The role is field based and some international travel will be required. You will be required to build strong relationships and have frequent interaction with colleagues and teams across our key tracheostomy markets.

 

Your responsibilities


• Set the future agenda for the Global tracheostomy strategy and clinical education plan in alignment with the Global commercial plan and our local markets.
• Develop and implement a Global tracheostomy curriculum offered by Atos Medical for the education of external clinicians as well Atos Medical employees.
• Drive international tracheostomy clinical education activities such as international expert panels and webinars for markets not covered by local clinical education programs.
• Serve as a key collaborator in the development of tracheostomy external educational programs or materials for global marketing campaigns and new product launches, such as webinars, e-learning resources, ’How-to’ product videos, product handbooks and resources.
• Act as a clinical expert for complex technical issues involving tracheostomy management or pulmonary health in relation to our products or future innovation initiatives.
• Identify the need of studies to be conducted in the area of tracheostomy and act as an expert involved in the design, conduct, monitoring, data interpretation and reporting of individual clinical trials. Review and approve final publications in collaboration with Vice President of Medical and Scientific Affairs.
• Lead on Global tracheostomy product evaluations, defining the post market surveillance surveys in collaboration with Marketing and R&D as well as local markets.
• Oversee and support contacts to international external medical experts, advisory boards, and adjudication committee.
• Provide medical leadership in regulatory meetings and contribute to submission strategy, regulatory dossiers, safety issues.

 

About you

To succeed in this role, we believe that you have a strong clinical background with extensive experience in tracheostomy acting as a clinical expert for Atos in the field of tracheostomy.  You have commercial experience working within medical devices and a proven track record of delivering successful strategic plans and working collaboratively to deliver key clinical projects.  You are also naturally proactive and able to use your experience to develop our Global tracheostomy strategy and education plan.

 

Your previous experience


• Physiotherapist, Speech Therapist or Nurse with a minimum of 5 years’ clinical experience in tracheostomy patient care with active professional registration in relevant field
• Masters degree or PhD from an accredited institution and specialist clinical skills in tracheostomy
• Minimum of 3 years experience managing a team, leading on clinical development projects

 

Location:

This role can be based in the UK, Germany, Netherlands or our Head Office in Sweden. Some international travel will be required.
