Do you have previous extensive experience in Customs? Then this might be the role for you! For our client within the automotive industry we are now looking for a person for the role as Global Trade Management & Compliance - Process Architect.

About the role
You are the driver of process improve activities in the Center of Excellence Team, focusing on activities that will enable working processes that supports the Global Customs strategy. You will use your creativity and collaboration skills defining, developing and implementing the standards for our way of working.

Some of your main tasks:
• Overall process improvement to standardize, improve and create an effective way of working globally
• Evaluate existing processes using interviews, workshops, document analysis, surveys, user scenarios, process maps, task and workflow analysis with the purpose of improving the outcome
• Utilize value stream mapping techniques to review processes, eliminate waste and improve effectiveness
• Perform root cause analysis and drive changes that are necessary for continuous improvement
• Collaborate internally, with digital and other relevant stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement and document ROI for pertinent initiatives
• Act as mentor or coach to business stakeholders by providing training and guidance on redesigned, optimized and streamlined processes
• Analyze data, identify trends and identify process anomalies as candidates for improvement
• Secure that all processes are written, communicated and adhered to consistently
• Work independently using your expertise and experience based on the plan set for the team and for yourself together with your manager.
• Support operational customs contact with responses and providing documents towards national (customs) authorities
• Support management of operational KPI´s on country level and apply corrective and preventive measures
• Investigate and/or escalate potential savings and duty optimizations

About you
To be successful in this role, we see that you have:
• Substantial work experience (6 to 10 years) in customs and trade and fully understand trade flows, documentary, and data requirements
• A post-secondary education with focus in logistics, engineering or computer science. This may also include local customs certifications
• Familiarity or experience with Value Stream Mapping (VSM) principles and can apply them to your area of work
• A moderate understanding of the regulatory trade concepts relating to moving goods across international borders (Tariff Classification, Valuation, Country of Origin, Free Trade Agreements, Special Procedures and Trade Programs)
• You are self-driven and can perform assigned task with low supervision while understanding that you are part of collaborative team that comes together for the efficient management of trade flows.

Further, to be successful in this role, you must be results driven, collaborative, build trust and value self-development to gain the expertise necessary to deliver on strategic objectives.
