The Global Supply Chain Excellence team runs the development of supply chain strategy, deploys best practices within global supply chain operations, and defines and implements global policies & standards. As of October 2021, Global Warehousing is a key part of the department, ensuring industry standards and operational excellence within our warehouses.
We are looking for a committed Global Warehouse Manager to lead our fantastic warehousing team!

Your mission
As Global Warehouse Manager you will have overall ownership of the model for Epiroc’s warehouses. This means creating clear standards, policies, processes, and KPI’s for our warehouses to follow, as well as ensuring all new warehouses have a standard template to follow. You will lead a team of three Global Specialists, but you are expected to take an active role as a technical warehouse expert rather than simply a people manager.

Rather than improving warehouse after warehouse, the focus is on putting in place world-class global standards, metrics, and ways-of-working to be rolled out in all our warehouses. This in turn will allow our warehouse managers and their teams at our distribution centers to secure industry standards and operational excellence at their sites. This challenging role requires taking a step back to focus on the big picture, based on years of experience within warehouse management.

Finally, you will be the key decision-maker in regard to processes and metrics in our future WMS system.

Your profile
We believe you have a degree in supply chain, engineering or equivalent. You have documented expertise in driving warehouse improvement initiatives as well as experience working with warehouse management systems. Solid English communication skill both verbal and written are a prerequisite, and additional languages will be meritorious.

You are an authority on how warehousing should be done, with years of experience as a warehouse manager. Throughout your career, you didn’t simply follow routines and processes. You implemented new ways of working, drove continuous improvement, and raised the bar for how people worked. As a person, you prefer “Go to Gemba”, making problems visible, and building robust processes rather than sitting back and analyzing data. Digital tools are great, but they should be built on operational excellence rather than the other way around.

Location and travel
Location to be decided, to either Fagersta or Örebro, Sweden, but could also be Dallas, USA. Occasional travel is required.
