Purpose of the Role
Enabling sales of Oriflame products by creating innovative communication angles, concepts and claims for new and ongoing products. Investigating and presenting scientific evidence to support product claims in a novel and creative manner within the timeframes of NPD. Enabling registration of products in Oriflame markets by ensuring the strongest possible claims are appropriately supported.
What will you do?
· Develop formulations of standard complexity in response to briefs issued from the marketing team to fit quality, performance and launch expectations of the key Oriflame brands.
· Design the formulation with key stake holders (R&D Colour Cosmetics Team, Marketing, Skin Research, Claims Communication, Product Testing, Packaging, Process, Safety and Regulatory) enabling risk reduced solutions to feed the New Product Development (NPD) launch plan
· Work closely with suppliers of raw materials to investigate the full potential of ingredients, process and technologies to maximise scientific advancement and commercial benefit for Oriflame.
· Perform stability testing, panel testing and sensory screening of formulations to ensure that the highest quality of products are delivered through the New Product Development Process.
· Follow Design For Manufacture principals, analyzing both bench, pilot and factory batches to generate scale up expertise.
· Build greater understanding of test methods, processing conditions and apply learning to enhance formulation behaviour, product performance and success in development.
· Manage project milestones, identify and highlight risks and implement contingency plans across all functions as appropriate from concept until delivery is completed.
· Utilise Library formulations in line with agreed process - develop formulations for inclusion in the Library when instructed.
· Monitor competitor activity within a given sector of the a given market area ensuring all trends and technical insights are captured and fed into the innovation process.

Your background and qualifications
· Degree in Chemistry/Cosmetic Science
